Written by Happy Johnson this book gives a keen look through eyes of a child as they prepare for a Hurricane. It's about a youth who is a senior trumpeter in his high school marching band and lives with his adopted family. He also drives Big Wanda, a rusty old pick-up truck fueled by vegetable oil. Driving to a snowball stand amid heavy street flooding, Happy & Big Wanda, are prepared for the storm and help those in need with disaster supplies made from eco-friendly material. With June being National Safety Month it's only fitting you stay aware on fun ways to stay prepared.
The purpose of the book is to inspire motivated learning through active involvement and meaningful activities (Ages 6-10).
