89,000 people on Twitter can't all be wrong so " Spell his name Right ". Pinc Gator is simmering the streets of Houston with his own unique sound and style. Pinc Gator, born to the world, Carl Henderson does music in his own way and is proud of it. His custom helmet seems to follow him from the studio to the stage. A proud " Que Dog " he has found way to embed his fraternity into his music brand which sends shock waves to the college world. Living in Houston I caught wind of Pinc Gator in 06 and have been a die-hard fan ever sense. To say thanks for his time Im sending Pinc Gator a gift from EnticingObjects.com Home Decor.
Enjoy my 7 minutes with Pinc Gator !

Pinc Gator & I circa 2006
Who inspires you the most and why? In life alone my parents without a doubt. I dont believe in striving to please man but I do feel the need to make my parents proud in all that i do. Musically I was and am still inspired by James Brown, Michael Jackson, Tupac, and Prince hands down. Each of those brothers created music that touched the soul and connected people worlds apart. They definitely went against the grain in many ways but the work ethic was unmatched and inspired us all and have music that will live on for centuries. Timeless work.
Where did the name "Pink Gator" come from ? Pinc Gator came about in 1999 in high school. Nobody knows the meaning but me and the folks that came up with it as a joke and it stuck. I told my wife I'd tell her the meaning once we got married. Well its been 5 years and I havent told her, we have 45 more years to go lol.
What do you bring to Hip Hop that the world needs ? What I bring is a sense of awareness and pride within for each individual thru the music. My main purpose for being in this industry is to create music to reach the people and uplift the youth. Considering we are all a child at heart I want to reach as many people as possible. Anybody with a pulse can get this Helmet Music. Music is spiritual and if we aren't careful as a whole it can tear us down. I put a positive light on life even when its rough. As long as we are breathing there is always room to better our situation. The world needs more positivity, and honest folks without a hidden agenda.

How do you relax ? Haha, funny you asked that. I often turn my cell phone off, no computer, no tv zero distraction. I just sit in complete silence and reflect or meditate or just take a long ride alone. That is my time to reflect, regroup, refresh, and come back strong. To know thyself is the ultimate goal.
Confess to me your favorite book. Believe it or not I read books galore. I was in numerous book clubs in grade school also. I like reading physical books. "Stolen Legacy" by George G.M. James and Miseducation Of the Negro by Carter G Woodson. Both books were written in the in 30's and 50's but still stand the test of time today. Once again timeless work and speaks volumes of the mindset and courage of these two brother to publish such works. James was murdered shortly after releasing Stolen Legacy
Whats the #1 thing to do in Houston? For me personally if Im not recording, performing, promoting, or supporting a fellow artist I really just like to hit the Improv and catch a comedy show that'll hopefully be piss yo pants funny. Away from music I chill, read, workout, and brainstorm 24/7. But straight up this is H-town baby if somebody wanted to hit the town 7 days a week that could easily be done. There is something going down every single day somewhere here. I dig that when I wanna cut a rug.
Where do you desire to travel to most and why ? Africa is my #1 spot since childhood. I will actually visit the Motherland in a few months. I have always wanted to go there and see what its like for myself. I have numerous African friends, associates, clients, etc and am blown away by the descriptions of Africa. I for sure will have to visit numerous times after I visit once. Its way more beauty and history in the land beyond what the media attempts to make us think. Thats why there are 20+ US Oil Companies located in Africa. Africa is the only Continent that can operate on its own. Dont get me started but I gotta go soon.
What artist compliments your style most to collab with? Thats a great question. It varies and I wont say any names but when I do tend to actually collab with an artist its because the timing, the connection, the content of the project was just right. Timing is everything. I have collab'd with some people I have never met in my life, but still fail to get one track done with folks that live in my own city. That is weird at times, but once again timing is everything.
Where do you envision the "Pinc Helmet" brand in 5 yrs? 5 years from now the Helmet Music music and brand will be a strong positive force within the communities across the map and in the education system. As mentioned before I create music to reach the people and uplift the youth. Music with a message. I strive to get back to what we started and what we started was making music with a message, that could inspire the weakest being. There are many projects that are on the table some will come to life some may not but through it all we will grown, learn, and be a light to others. I will have my own foundation one day. I gotta thank you for always being down with me since day one. People like you inspire to me to keep it going and never let up. I have to thank my manager Curtis Henderson aka Joe Jackson for always pushing me even when Im fed up with this industry and its wicked ways. Beanz N Kornbread for being my producers for 5+ years and allowing me to do me when it comes to this music. Until next time hit the Itunes or pincgator.com and cop my album "100 Years From Now" produced by Beanz N Kornbread. Farewell. Helmet
